Job Title: 2 x Insurance Administrator (Apprenticeship Opportunity)

Location: London

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who’s organised, eager to learn, and enjoys working with others. As an Insurance Administrator, you’ll help our team by handling important tasks that keep things running smoothly. You don’t need experience in insurance—just a positive attitude and a willingness to grow.

What You’ll Be Doing

Helping the team with day-to-day admin tasks to support our clients.

Uploading client details to online systems to get insurance quotes.

Talking to insurance companies by phone and email to help find the best deals.

Preparing and checking documents to make sure everything is correct and sent on time.

Keeping client records up to date using our computer systems.

Helping with payments and making sure everything is followed up properly.

Staying in touch with clients to remind them about important parts of their insurance.

What We’re Looking For

Great attention to detail—you like getting things right.

Good at organising your work and managing different tasks.

Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.

Friendly and clear when speaking or writing to others.

Keen to learn and grow into a more senior role over time.

A team player who’s happy to help and ask questions.

The apprenticeship position will sit within SPF (Mortgages and Financial Planning), a dynamic and client-focused division of the Howden Retail UK&I. Established in 1997 and integrated into Howden in 2023, SPF comprises four key areas: Mortgages, Financial Planning, Insurance, and Specialist Debt. Over the years, the team has built deep expertise across these disciplines, offering advice in over 300 product areas. At SPF, we take a holistic approach to financial services, ensuring our clients receive comprehensive support tailored to their individual needs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and forward-thinking team that values professional development and client care.

What do we offer in return?

A career that you define. At Howden, we value diversity – there is no one Howden type. Instead, we’re looking for individuals who share the same values as us:

  • Our successes have all come from someone brave enough to try something new

  • We support each other in the small everyday moments and the bigger challenges

  • We are determined to make a positive difference at work and beyond

Reasonable adjustments

We\’re committed to providing reasonable accommodations at Howden to ensure that our positions align well with your needs. Besides the usual adjustments such as software, IT, and office setups, we can also accommodate other changes such as flexible hours* or hybrid working*.

If you\’re excited by this role but have some doubts about whether it’s the right fit for you, send us your application – if your profile fits the role’s criteria, we will be in touch to assist in helping to get you set up with any reasonable adjustments you may require.
