We are seeking a Senior Analyst - Appointed Representative oversight to support our Compliance UK&I team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has the expertise to provide assistance with the design and the approach for Appointed Representatives (ARs) combined with overseeing the diligence review of all AR/IAR firms within the UK&I Retail Pillar to meet regulatory expectations. Our AR oversight team is based in Gloucester and travel may be required to attend other local offices. You will be based in our Gloucester office and be onsite for between 2-3 days per week.
Overview- Overseeing the diligence review of all AR/IAR firms within the UK&I Retail Pillar to meet regulatory expectations.
- Liaising directly with stakeholders to discuss and investigate questions arising from due diligence.
- Input into the overall compliance report/annual report to Board, drafting relevant sections, and ensuring that any clarification questions or required remedial actions are flagged with an appropriate level of clarity and prominence.
- Driving forward the completion of agreed oversight interactions, through direct activity or through stakeholder management, helping to ensure that all businesses meet common standards.
- Strong UK regulatory technical knowledge and experience of ARs in the insurance sector.
- Strong knowledge of FCA requirements specifically relating to general insurance products within ICOBs & PS22/11 relating Appointed Representatives.
- Practical knowledge of the key compliance policies / procedures / frameworks expected of an FCA regulated insurance intermediary.
- Previous involvement and experience in compliance focussed oversight.
- Experience of shaping and delivering regulatory training.
- Proven ability to anticipate and adapt to changing regulatory standards.
- Ability to write concise and impactful reports.
- Excellent investigative skills, with an ability to accurately analyse information.
- Experience of direct interaction with the regulator an advantage.
- Industry recognised compliance qualifications beneficial but not essential.
- Dip CII or above, unless able to evidence significant relevant experience with a strong record of delivery to a high level GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
