Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI Governance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the organisation adheres to legal, regulatory and internal AI Governance standards, promoting the safe and responsible use of AI. This position reports to the Head of AI Governance and involves close collaboration with key business stakeholders to develop and implement robust AI governance frameworks and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- AI Governance Framework: Support the Head of AI Governance in management and delivery of all workstreams, including development, implementation and maintenance of documentation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Monitor AI Use: Support the AI Governance Analyst to report risks and issues identified during monitoring AI applications within the business, escalating where required. This involves analysing both existing and new AI use cases and projects and conducting further review where required.
- Risk Analysis Framework: Support in the development and implementation a comprehensive risk analysis framework for AI use cases and projects. This framework will help identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with AI deployment.
- Reporting: Own the AI Governance reporting process highlighting any risks and issues with AI use across the Group.
- Regulatory Awareness: Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and standards, including any new and upcoming global AI regulations that may impact Howden and its subsidiaries. Support the team in identifying and addressing any gaps in our existing AI governance framework to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and develop: Provide coaching and feedback to junior members of the team. Manage development to ensure they can effectively contribute to the AI governance processes and support the overall objectives of the team.
Requirements:
- Experience in a governance or compliance role, preferably within AI but not essential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate risks associated with AI use.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Knowledge of global AI regulations and their implications for business operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
