Whatever your priorities – work / life balance, career progression, sustainability, volunteering – you’ll find like-minded people driving change at Howden.
We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our Creative Studio. The Creative Studio sits within the Group Brand and Marketing team, and is made up of a mix of graphic designers, artworkers, videographers, copy editors and account managers. You will work with the team on a day to day basis in addition to internal ‘clients’ around the business spanning both our Group business, broking business and underwriting business. We sit in the UK but we work with our teams all over the world. You will have interactions with Marketing, Brand, Communications, Events, client facing teams, brokers and data teams.
You’ll be a seasoned resource and project manager within the creative sphere and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects and stakeholders. You’ll have demonstrable organisational skills and be able to calmly manage tricky resourcing situations when timings and budgets are tight. You will also be confident and comfortable building relationships with senior stakeholders and have excellent listening and problem solving skills.
Role Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for managing multiple BAU briefs coming into the studio, working closely with the Studio Manager and other account managers to allocate design resource using project management software.
- You’ll be responsible for ensuring that briefs are allocated to the creative team based on skill set and developmental goals.
- Whilst this is an account manager role you will also be responsible for project managing briefs to ensure the output of work is to the highest standard.
- You’ll meet with ‘clients’ to discuss their needs and help to translate them into tangible design briefs.
- You’ll perform quality checks on all incoming briefs to ensure that the brief contains all the required information so that designers are able to pick up briefs immediately.
- You’ll be required to review the teams output to ensure that it meets the ‘clients’ brief and budget and that the work is delivered on time.
- You will keep in contact with the ‘client’ at all stages of the project and follow up on all enquiries in a timely manner.
- You will manage budgets for individual projects as required and arrange budget reporting on a monthly basis.
- You’ll work with the Studio Manager and Design Director on assessing upcoming resource requirements on a regular basis to enable proactive additional resourcing for the department.
- Prioritisation of work will be key, working closely with the Design Director and the Studio Manager to ensure prioritisation of workload is managed correctly.
- You will be responsible for monthly reporting for your accounts.
Role Requirements:
- Experience working within a Creative Studio team or an agency account management role.
- Account management & project management skills (with a focus on simultaneously managing multiple projects and relationships).
- An understanding of the design process.
- Experience working with video teams will also be a bonus.
- Ability to communicate client needs and clearly articulate technical items.
- Client management skills and ability to anticipate needs and match them with products and services.
- Communication skills, particularly listening, articulation, presenting, and assisting with project or marketing literature.
- Prioritisation and negotiation skills.
- Empathy, emotional intelligence.
