Main purpose of the role
Worldwide onsite technical assistance to customers during overhaul, repair, maintenance, fault finding and installation and commissioning of steam turbines and gearboxes. Provide a full engineering service support for customers and develop and manage exceptional customer relationships through technical capability and personal interaction.
What will you do?
- Deliver a very high technical and professional level of service to our customers, with significant focus on safety and quality. Aim to achieve on time in full, to schedule and right first time.
- Provide detailed site reports to the required standard, highlighting actions needed and seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Supervise the activities of Company or Customer supplied Technicians, and be responsible for their day-to-day safety, site activities and discipline.
- Follow health and safety at work procedures and complete required risk assessments.
What do you bring?
- Knowledge of site maintenance and repair of steam turbines.
- Develop and manage good customer relationships through professional customer management.
- Demonstrable experience with a strong focus on health and safety.
- Ability to supervise others at site during complex installation, commissioning and maintenance activities.
- Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to produce detailed written technical documents including risk assessments, site reports, root cause analyses of failures, method statements, scopes of work and project plans.
- Experience working on international assignments, including where English is not the main language.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
Desirable skills, knowledge and behaviours
- Knowledge of site installation and commissioning of steam turbines (training to be provided if required).
- Knowledge of site installation and commissioning of reciprocating compressors (training to be provided if required).
- Knowledge of site maintenance and repair of gearboxes (training to be provided if required).
- Previous offshore experience.
Allowances rates vary by location (from £50 in the UK to £230 offshore). Generous holiday entitlement package totalling 33 days annual leave.
