As Finance Business Partner, you will perform a key role in supporting the wider Finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, your role will involve ensuring good record-keeping and accurate, timely reporting, both during the month and at month end.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Ability to analytically review monthly financial results and interpret the results for the management team, including presenting the results at monthly management meetings.
- Preparation of various balance sheet reconciliations, fully investigating and reconciling all accounts.
- Assistance with the preparation of annual departmental budgets and midterm forecasts.
- Preparation of forecasting for both monthly profit and loss and cash flow.
- Key finance partner for non-Finance colleagues in relation to planning, forecasting and value-add.
- Involvement in checking and authorisation of payment runs.
- Assistance with the annual group audit.
- Ownership of tax related compliance – monthly and quarterly.
- Support of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring support is provided across these functions as required.
- Involvement in other “ad hoc” financial projects.
Accountabilities and Performance Measures:
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in producing management accounts.
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload effectively.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (for example, ACCA, CIMA).
- Experienced and competent in the use of Excel.
- Experience working with different currencies would be an advantage.
