Description:
To machine components to technical drawings and specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operate CNC machines.
- Manufacture components from engineering drawings, whilst working within company Quality procedures.
- Self-inspection of own work.
- Preventative & General maintenance checks.
- Ensure all HSE legislations are adhered to at all times.
- Read and understand engineering drawings.
- Ability to set and operate CNC machines – Mill turn.
- Ability to edit and prove out CNC programs.
- Ability to use a range of measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers etc.).
- Sound knowledge of geometrical tolerances.
- Strong team player with a can do attitude.
- Must be self-motivated.
Accountabilities and Performance Measures:
- Produce components to the correct standards within a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping and follow the 5S program.
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience within the oil and gas industry or heavy engineering preferred but not essential.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience operating CNC machines.
- Must have an Engineering Apprenticeship or similar.
- Strong knowledge of both milling & turning advantageous.
- Fanuc or Mazatrol experience advantageous.
