Role Requirements

  • To machine components to technical drawings and specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate CNC machines.
  • Manufacture components from engineering drawings, whilst working within company Quality procedures.
  • Self-inspection of own work.
  • Preventative & General maintenance checks.
  • Ensure all HSE legislations are adhered to at all times.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Ability to set and operate CNC machines – Mill turn.
  • Ability to edit and prove out CNC programs.
  • Ability to use a range of measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers etc.).
  • Sound knowledge of geometrical tolerances.
  • Strong team player with a can do attitude.
  • Must be self-motivated.

Accountabilities and Performance Measures

  • Produce components to the correct standards within a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping and follow the 5S program.
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within the oil and gas industry or heavy engineering preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience operating CNC machines.
  • Must have an Engineering Apprenticeship or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of both milling & turning advantageous.
  • Fanuc or Mazatrol experience advantageous.

Qualifications Experience Required

  • Engineering Apprenticeship or similar
  • 5 years: Operating CNC Machines
