The successful candidate will be an organised and proactive HR professional with experience across the employee lifecycle. They will demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills, a high level of confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, screening applications, coordinating interviews, preparing offers, and supporting hiring managers to attract and appoint the best talent.
  • Coordinate and deliver a seamless onboarding process, ensuring all pre-employment checks, documentation, and new starter activities are completed in a timely manner.
  • Manage relationships with recruitment agencies, including negotiating and maintaining agency terms and conditions and monitoring agency performance.
  • Obtain and verify employment references and ensure all pre-employment compliance requirements are completed before employment commences.
  • Deliver HR inductions for new employees, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge, policies, and resources required to successfully integrate into the business.
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain training plans to support employee development, mandatory training compliance, and business objectives.
  • Administer the organisation's apprenticeship programmes, including Apprenticeship Levy management, liaison with training providers, funding compliance, and learner progress monitoring.
  • Monitor and coordinate employee probationary periods, ensuring reviews are completed on time and managers are supported throughout the process.
  • Maintain and administer the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring employee records are accurate, up to date, and compliant with data protection and company requirements.
  • Coordinate the Employee Performance and Development Review (EPDR) process, providing guidance to managers and monitoring completion and follow-up actions.
  • Produce HR reports and management information to support decision-making, workforce planning, and monitoring of key HR metrics.
  • Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the employee experience.
  • Build positive working relationships across the business and work collaboratively with managers to support people-related initiatives and organisational objectives.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information and ensure compliance with GDPR and company data protection policies.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with the level of the role to support the effective operation of the HR function.

Job Requirements

  • Qualifications: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above.
  • Previous experience working within a Human Resources or People Function.
  • Experience managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
