Sheffield 211 Carbrook Street Sheffield, SHE S92JN, GBR The Commercial Manager leads the sales and commercial strategy for the UK Oil & Gas Sales segment within the European Distribution Division. The role drives revenue growth, manages key client relationships, and ensures alignment between commercial activities and broader organisational objectives. Duties and Responsibilities * Developing and implementing the sales strategy for the Business Unit by understanding the value drivers of the business and identifying profitable commercial/sales opportunities to grow market share. * Determining the optimal pricing to balance profit with customer‑satisfaction. * Identify market opportunities and potential new clients while ensuring we build and maintain existing relationships with major Oil & Gas customers. * Develop and implement market strategies and develop new client relationships whilst also assisting the sales team in this area. * Accurately forecast and develop business plans that build account revenue. * Accurately forecast stock requirements whilst ensuring target levels are maintained. * Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to drive revenue growth with new and existing customers. * Developing and maintaining an excellent understanding of the key customers to ensure that their needs are being met and that their business is retained. * Manage the Sales team to ensure customer requirements are fully communicated and sales targets are set and managed in a timely manner. * Lead, mentor, and performance manage the Sales team including carrying out the team's annual performance reviews. * Maintaining an awareness of external factors (including competitors and industry developments in relation to commercial activities) which impact the business. * Collating and analysing business data pertaining to all commercial activities and presenting on a monthly basis. * Ensure sales and client satisfaction through a high level of customer service. * Monitor competitor activity and market trends to maintain Howco’s competitive positioning. * Problem Solving. * Ability to Plan. * Strong Organisational Skills. * The ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic and challenging environment. * Management of the Commercial function. Accountabilities and Performance Measures * Achieve personal and team sales targets. * Selling and promoting Howco’s products and services. * Building and maintaining relationships with Howco’s customer base. * Budget planning and achievement of sales and inventory budgets. Job Requirements Qualifications * Oil & Gas Raw material conversion and product knowledge (Low Alloys, Stainless and Nickel Alloys). * Extensive experience in Sales and a good understanding of Operations. * Understanding of managing Inventory. * Excellent Interpersonal and management skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
