Role Requirements

The Commercial Manager leads the sales and commercial strategy for the UK Oil & Gas Sales segment within the European Distribution Division. The role drives revenue growth, manages key client relationships, and ensures alignment between commercial activities and broader organisational objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

Developing and implementing the sales strategy for the Business Unit by understanding the value drivers of the business and identifying profitable commercial/sales opportunities to grow market share.

Determining the optimal pricing to balance profit with customer- satisfaction.

Identify market opportunities and potential new clients while ensuring we build and maintain existing relationships with major Oil & Gas customers

Develop and implement market strategies and develop new client relationships whilst also assisting the sales team in this area.

Accurately forecast and develop business plans that build account revenue.

Accurately forecast stock requirements whilst ensuring target levels are maintained.

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth with new and existing customers.

Developing and maintaining an excellent understanding of the key customers to ensure that their needs are being met and that their business is retained.

Manage the Sales team to ensure customer requirements are fully communicated and sales targets are set and managed in a timely manner.

Lead, mentor, and performance manage the Sales team including carrying out the team's annual performance reviews

Maintaining an awareness of external factors (including competitors and industry developments in relation to commercial activities) which impact the business.

Collating and analysing business data pertaining to all commercial activities and presenting on a monthly basis.

Ensure sales and client satisfaction through a high level of customer service.

Monitor competitor activity and market trends to maintain Howco’s competitive positioning.

Job Requirements/

Qualifications

Oil & Gas Raw material conversion and product knowledge (Low Alloys,

Stainless and Nickel Alloys)

Extensive experience in Sales and a good understanding of Operations.

Understanding of managing Inventory

Excellent Interpersonal and management skills.

Ability to travel when required.
