What does it mean to be a Howarth Timber & Building Supplies Website Manager?
The Website Manager will shape the development strategy and testing programme to continuously optimise the company’s website. Focusing on conversion rate optimisation and the end-to-end journey for the consumer (both B2C and B2B), with the aim of making this as seamless and frictionless as possible.
- Lead contact for development agency, working with them to deliver the roadmap.
- Continuously improving the website user journey through creative problem solving – identifying options and solutions.
- UX journey investigations and evolving the customer journey.
- Investigate ways to improve conversion rate optimisation and reduce cart abandonment.
- Writing requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria to brief into the development agency.
- Bug and issue investigating.
- Competitor analysis and supplier liaison.
- Research new product opportunities for the website and loading onto our channels.
- Monitoring, maintaining and assisting in copy for product, search, categories and collections.
What are the requirements to become part of our team?
- ·At least 3 years’ experience working in an eCommerce environment.
- Great telephone and customer service skills
- General office administration skills
- GCSE English and Maths plus three other subjects (Grade 4 or above)
- Great PC skills including Microsoft Office, in particular a good working knowledge of Excel.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- A confident, enthusiastic, approachable, and motivated person with a proactive and ‘can do’ attitude.
- Sense of responsibility and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Enjoys problem solving as well as creative thinking.
