Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Showroom Sales Designer role based at the Doncaster branch. The role involves welcoming customers into the showroom, understanding their needs, and providing professional advice on timber, building materials, and showroom products, with a strong focus on kitchen and bathroom solutions. The Showroom Sales Designer will create practical and visually appealing designs, prepare quotations, and manage orders from initial enquiry through to completion. Daily tasks include maintaining showroom displays, following up on leads, achieving sales targets, and ensuring an excellent customer experience in line with the company’s core values. Collaboration with branch colleagues, suppliers, and installation partners is important to deliver high-quality service and build long-term customer relationships.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including Communication and Customer Service, with the ability to build rapport and understand customer requirements.
- Proficiency in Sales, with experience in consultative selling, converting enquiries into orders, and working towards individual or team targets.
- Practical experience or training in Interior Design and Kitchen & Bath Design, including the ability to create functional and aesthetically pleasing layouts.
- Basic numeracy and IT skills, including confidence using design software, CRM systems, and standard office applications.
- Previous showroom, retail, or building materials experience is beneficial, along with knowledge of timber and construction products.
- Ability to work on-site in Doncaster, manage multiple customer projects, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners.
