Can you provide excellent customer service and would you like to work in an award-winning family business? Then we have the job for you. We are looking for a Parts Supervisor. You will be working from Monday to Friday only; Aftersales at the Howards Group do not work at the weekend!
You must be a motivated individual with excellent attention to detail to progress in the Parts arena. You will be responsible for selling parts and accessories both to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Taking retail and trade orders via email and the front counter
- Receiving and processing deliveries
- Supervising the parts department and supporting the staff within it
- Building strong working relationships between the parts department and the wider dealership
- Minimising credits and returns by ensuring the correct parts are ordered and supplied first time
- Working punctually, efficiently and in an organised manner while meeting deadlines
- Being proactive and enthusiastic when dealing with customers
- Demonstrating empathy and providing a high level of customer service
- Completing invoice amendments and verification
- Managing stock inventory and replenishment
- Supporting the training and development of new and existing staff
- Supporting the workshop with all parts related requirements
- Developing and maintaining knowledge across the franchises operated within the group
- Providing cover across the area during periods of sickness and annual leave
What do we want in return?
- Target-driven and customer-focused individuals, a minimum of 12 months automotive parts or aftersales experience.
- Full driving licence.
- Computer literate - ideally with knowledge of an automotive DMS.
- Flexible and a team player - you will need to work across various sites and be able to work independently and as part of the Parts team.
- Excellent customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- You will be competent in negotiating and closing sales whilst maintaining an excellent customer experience.
- Well-presented - you will be able to engage and build positive relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Able to work with defined processes and guidelines and have good core administration skills to accurately capture and use data.
- Demonstrate a passion for the industry and ability to successfully enthuse/motivate others (customers and colleagues).
- You will have previous experience in the motor trade parts department of 12 months as a minimum.
