Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and sign off company accounts prepared by junior team members.
  • Examine and authorise company tax returns, concurrently spotting avenues for tax planning.
  • Assess and complete self-assessment tax returns for clients to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Offer guidance and assistance to junior team members, particularly during the process of onboarding new clients.
  • Examine and authorise VAT returns, aid in client registration, and pinpoint potential VAT opportunities and risks.
  • Supervise and guide junior team members, ensuring efficient workload management.
  • Initiate new business calls and collaborate with management to foster portfolio growth.

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualification preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a practice setting, demonstrating independent portfolio management skills.
  • Proficiency in Xero is preferred; experience with Tax Calc and Excel is a plus.
  • Demonstrate independence, honesty, approachability, and friendliness, with proven capability in portfolio and team management.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
