We are seeking a detail-oriented Regulatory Reporting Accountant to join our finance team on a 2-year fixed-term contract. The role is responsible for preparing, analysing, and submitting accurate regulatory reports in compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.

- Improve the quality of regulatory returns by reviewing and analysing the underlying data used in their preparation.
- Ensure that regulatory rules are interpreted accurately and applied consistently across all reports.
- Assist in developing and strengthening the regulatory reporting control framework and environment to support complete and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit regulatory returns (including COREP, FINREP, and Bank of England reports) accurately and on time, in line with all regulatory deadlines.
- Enhance and streamline the automation of the regulatory reporting platform (SUADE), ensuring efficient submissions via REGDATA and BEEDS.
- Monitor and assess new and updated regulatory requirements to maintain full compliance with reporting obligations.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures covering all aspects of regulatory reporting, both statutory and statistical.
- Support the preparation of Pillar 3, ICAAP, and ILAAP documentation in collaboration with the Risk team.
- Assist with regular liquidity and capital monitoring, including the production of management information (MI) and Head Office reporting.
- Perform key controls, including reconciliations between regulatory returns and financial statements, to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders outside the Finance team to deepen understanding of products and their regulatory reporting treatment.
- Comply with internal policies and procedures, keeping line management informed of relevant issues as needed.
- Contribute to the production of monthly and quarterly MI dashboards for submission to governance committees.
Experience and Skills Required
- Ideally qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
- Strong working knowledge of PRA/Bank of England regulatory requirements (including COREP, FINREP, and BoE returns), as well as EBA regulations and Q&A updates.
- At least two years’ experience in regulatory reporting.
- Solid data analysis skills, with the ability to assess and ensure data quality.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), including the ability to develop technical regulatory calculations and build effective MI dashboards.
- In-depth understanding of validation rules, including their interpretation, definitions, and interactions across regulatory returns.
- Proactive approach to identifying misclassifications and maintaining clean, accurate databases.
- Experience with SUADE software is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
