This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in the niche area of Business Crime and Regulatory to join the team on a 12-month fixed term contract maternity cover. We are looking for a proactive, organised Team Assistant that will provide first-class professional support to our PAs together with a number of fee earners in the friendly, dynamic Business Crime and Regulatory Team (which is part of the wider Dispute Resolution Department). This role will be an integral part of the team and will offer great exposure to all aspects of the administration required for different high profile and confidential matters.
Role responsibility
- Administrative Support
- Assist with file opening and closure, ensuring full compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the archiving of closed files in line with firm policy.
- Carry out legal research using online sources, databases, and relevant platforms.
- Prepare and type standard attendance notes, letters, handwritten statements, and transcriptions from police interviews and recorded meetings.
- Prepare, amend, and format emails and legal documents as requested.
- Collate, organise, and index legal documentation for ongoing matters.
- Maintain up-to-date paper and electronic filing, ensuring documentation is stored correctly within iManage.
- Scan and upload incoming post and documents into the correct iManage workspace and subfolders.
- Download, sort, and save documents received from clients, opposing solicitors, and third parties.
- Book and coordinate meetings, including room bookings and necessary arrangements.
- Assist with organising expenses for fee earners and PAs.
- Provide support to PAs during periods of absence, covering their administrative tasks as required.
- Handle small-volume printing, photocopying, and scanning; liaise with Document Services for larger or more complex tasks.

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other commonly used software applications.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with colleagues and external contacts at all levels.
- A proactive, flexible, and self-motivated approach to work.
