Are you an experienced Payroll Clerk looking to join a friendly, professional team where your skills will be valued and rewarded? Our client, a well-established business in Hale providing outsourced payroll services to a wide range of companies across the UK, is looking for a confident and knowledgeable Payroll Processor to join their growing team.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for processing end-to-end payroll for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent customer service at every stage. This is a busy, varied role where no two days are the same - perfect for someone who enjoys working with numbers, deadlines, and people!
Key Responsibilities
- Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for multiple clients
- Managing starters, leavers, and amendments
- Handling statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP, and SAP
- Submitting RTI and pension contributions
- Reconciling payroll reports and responding to client queries promptly
- Keeping up to date with current payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
- Assisting with year-end processes such as P60s and P11Ds
About You
- Previous experience in a payroll processing role (ideally within a bureau or accountancy practice)
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and Auto-Enrolment
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving and client communication
- Experience using payroll software (such as Sage, BrightPay, or similar)
