We are currently recruiting for a detail-focused and organised Payroll Coordinator to join a well-established business based in Altrincham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking to join a supportive team within a friendly and professional working environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while supporting both finance and HR functions. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full end-to-end payroll process using internal payroll systems
  • Accurately process employee data including hours, deductions and benefits
  • Handle payroll-related payments such as expenses and reimbursements
  • Reconcile payroll reports and provide analysis for management
  • Maintain and update employee records in line with company policies and UK legislation
  • Liaise with HR to ensure employee information is up to date and resolve any payroll queries
  • Produce payroll reports to support audits and internal reviews
  • Support year-end payroll processes, including tax submissions and statutory reporting

About You

  • Proven experience in a payroll position
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll and accounting systems
  • Confident with data entry, reconciliation and payroll processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and able to work collaboratively across departments
  • Previous experience within HR or payroll administration would be beneficial
