We’re Hiring: Experienced Payroll Clerk (Part-Time) I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established client in the construction industry who is seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk to join their team in St Helens. This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll professional looking for a stable, part-time role within a busy and supportive office environment. Key Responsibilities: * Processing weekly and monthly payroll for PAYE, Umbrella, and CIS workers * Verifying timesheets and managing electronic time and attendance systems * Handling all new starter paperwork, leaver processing, and issuing P45s * Submitting weekly RTI and monthly P32 returns * Administering auto-enrolment pensions * Generating payslips and assisting with general payroll support tasks The Ideal Candidate: * A minimum of 5 years’ payroll experience * Confident using Microsoft Excel and Office tools * Detail-oriented and highly organized * Experience with SAGE 50 Payroll is a significant plus * Must hold a full UK driving licence Role Overview: * Location: Sutton Road, St Helens (office-based) * Hours: 3 days per week, 9 am – 5 pm (approx. 22.5 hours) * Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour * Benefits: On-site parking available
