As part of their continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced and motivated HR Manager to join their head office team in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
The Role
This is a highly autonomous and influential position, acting as the business's sole HR representative. You will take ownership of day-to-day HR operations while also leading key areas including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance. The role will suit someone comfortable operating independently, exercising sound judgement, and building scalable HR practices that support both current needs and future growth. You will work closely with Directors and department managers, shaping people strategies that drive engagement, performance and a positive organisational culture. Your contribution will have a direct impact on the employee experience, long-term talent strategy, and the overall success of the firm.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and procedures aligned to business objectives and UK employment legislation.
- Support recruitment activity where required and take full ownership of onboarding to ensure a smooth and engaging new starter experience.
- Partner closely with Directors to ensure people practices align with business priorities and consistent management standards.
- Advise Directors, managers and employees on employee relations, performance management and disciplinary matters.
- Support and guide performance reviews, goal setting and development planning.
- Oversee compensation and benefits, ensuring structures remain fair, competitive and aligned with business values.
- Design and support learning and development initiatives that enhance capability and engagement.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and optimise use of the HR Information System.
- Monitor changes in employment legislation, ensuring compliance and minimising risk.
- Lead and advise on grievance, investigation and conflict resolution processes.
- Proactively identify HR risks, opportunities and improvements that support long-term growth.
- Review HR processes regularly to ensure they remain efficient, scalable and fit for purpose.
About You
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- CIPD qualification preferred, although relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an HR management role, ideally within a professional services environment such as accountancy, finance, legal or consulting.
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Broad experience across all core HR disciplines.
