Howard James Recruitment are working with an exciting and rapidly growing technology-led business to recruit an experienced Finance Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional looking for a broad and hands-on role within an innovative and fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of the finance function, working closely with senior leadership and playing a key role in supporting strategic growth plans.
The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role, covering everything from day-to-day finance operations through to board reporting, forecasting and financial planning.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day accounting processes using Xero, including invoicing, supplier payments, expenses and reconciliations
- Overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes
- Managing expenses and company card processes
- Processing payroll and liaising with external payroll providers
- Maintaining accurate financial records and controls
- Running month-end processes including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
