We are looking for an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team on night shifts in our dementia residential care home in Ipswich.

Shift Details:

  • Night shifts: 21:00 - 07:00 (1-hour paid break)
  • Seniors report 15 minutes before the shift for handover (paid)

Pay Rates:

  • Qualified Senior Carer - NVQ 4 Equivalent: £15.67/hr
  • Qualified Senior Carer - NVQ 3 Equivalent: £15.34/hr
  • Unqualified Senior Carer - NVQ 2: £13.87/hr

Contract Hours: 25, 30, 35, or 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents with dementia
  • Support and mentor junior staff
  • Administer medication safely in line with care plans
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and families
  • Ensure residents' dignity, safety, and wellbeing at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in residential care or dementia care preferred
  • NVQ Level 2/3/4 in Health & Social Care (depending on pay rate)
  • Compassionate, reliable, and committed to high standards of care
