Location: Farnborough

Salary: £14.25 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week - Days

Working Hours: 7:30 am to 2:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 9 pm (split shifts)

About the Role: This role focuses on engaging residents, building relationships, and creating a positive environment. You will support individuals' emotional wellbeing through meaningful interaction and activities. These individuals will have mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorder, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of support workers to deliver safe, consistent, and person-centred care.
  • Work directly with residents to support daily living, promote independence, and achieve personal goals.
  • Support with personal care, medication administration, and behaviour management.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of care, progress, and incidents.
  • Act as a role model and mentor for staff, ensuring compliance with care plans and safeguarding protocols.
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for residents.

Requirements:

  • Essential: Previous experience in a senior or leadership role within mental health care, specialising in severe mental health and challenging behaviours.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and person-centred planning.
  • Compassionate, patient, and resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends if required.
  • A valid driving licence is desirable but not essential.
