We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Chef to join our dedicated kitchen team in a well-respected residential care home in Cirencester. This is a rewarding opportunity for a professional with experience in care home catering, passionate about providing nutritious, high-quality meals for older people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook well-balanced, nutritional meals for residents, including those with special dietary requirements
  • Plan menus in line with nutritional guidelines and residents' preferences
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness in accordance with Health & Safety and CQC regulations
  • Manage food stock levels, ordering, and rotation
  • Ensure meals are presented in an appetising and appropriate manner
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a care home, healthcare, or similar catering environment
  • Understanding of nutrition and dietary needs of older people
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 (minimum) - Level 3 preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of allergen management and special diets
