We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Chef to join our dedicated kitchen team in a well-respected residential care home in Cirencester. This is a rewarding opportunity for a professional with experience in care home catering, passionate about providing nutritious, high-quality meals for older people.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook well-balanced, nutritional meals for residents, including those with special dietary requirements
- Plan menus in line with nutritional guidelines and residents' preferences
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness in accordance with Health & Safety and CQC regulations
- Manage food stock levels, ordering, and rotation
- Ensure meals are presented in an appetising and appropriate manner
- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a care home, healthcare, or similar catering environment
- Understanding of nutrition and dietary needs of older people
- Food Hygiene Level 2 (minimum) - Level 3 preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of allergen management and special diets
- Competitive hourly rate of £14.41 per hour
- Permanent, secure role with 38 hours per week
- Consistent shift pattern: 7am-5pm or 8am-6pm, including alternate weekends
