We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Night Care Assistant to join our dedicated team within a 31-bedded residential care home in Wolverhampton. You will play a vital role in ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout the night while maintaining high standards of person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and repositioning
- Conduct regular night checks to ensure residents' safety and wellbeing
- Support residents with mobility and continence needs
- Accurately complete care records and night reports
- Respond promptly to call bells and emergencies
- Maintain a calm, quiet, and reassuring environment
- Adhere to safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety policies
Requirements
- Previous care experience preferred
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
- Medication training (desirable)
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
- Ability to work independently during night hours
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
