Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to support the effective day‑to‑day running of two residential services. This is a hands‑on role combining leadership, compliance, and direct care, ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred support is delivered at all times in line with CQC standards. The Team Leader will act as a role model on shift, supporting staff development, maintaining compliance, and promoting a safe, positive environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support staff on shift across two residential services
- Support rota coordination, shift handovers, and daily task allocation
- Act as first point of contact for staff, residents, and visiting professionals
- Assist with medication administration, audits, and documentation
- Support the management team with compliance, safeguarding, and quality assurance
- Mentor and coach Support Workers, promoting best practice
- Maintain accurate records and report incidents appropriately
- Promote residents' independence, dignity, and wellbeing
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
- Experience in a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader role
- Strong knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding
- Confident in medication administration and care documentation
Desirable Requirements
- Experience working across multiple services
- NVQ Level 4 or above in Health & Social Care
- Experience in audits, staff supervision, or quality monitoring
