About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join a small, well‑established residential home supporting younger adults with mental health needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic leader who is passionate about delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care within a supportive and close‑knit environment. The role offers a combination of supernumerary hours and hands‑on shift work, giving you the opportunity to lead by example while supporting the day‑to‑day running of the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Registered Manager with the overall running of the home
- Leading, supervising and developing the staff team
- Ensuring high standards of care and support are consistently delivered
- Contributing to care planning, risk assessments and behaviour support plans
- Supporting with audits, compliance and quality assurance
- Promoting a positive, empowering and therapeutic environment
- Working collaboratively with external professionals, families and stakeholders
- Acting as a role model for best practice in mental health and behaviour support
About You
- Experience within Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, or Behaviours of Concern services
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
- A compassionate, person‑centred approach
- Good understanding of safeguarding, risk management and regulatory standards
- Flexibility to work both supernumerary hours and shifts
