Howard Finley Care is delighted to be working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced and motivated Registered Manager for a brand new, purpose-built 4-bedded children's residential home supporting young people with learning disabilities (LD).

Key Duties:

  • Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager and lead the opening of the new home.
  • Provide strong leadership to the staff team, creating a positive, supportive, and child-centred culture.
  • Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures, and company policies.
  • Support and develop staff through supervision, training, and reflective practice.
  • Build positive relationships with families, local authorities, and external professionals.
  • Drive high standards of care and continuous improvement across the service.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care - essential.
  • Experience supporting children with learning disabilities (LD) preferred; EBD experience also considered.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards) - essential.
  • Minimum of three year's experience in a management role within a children's residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and quality standards.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and leading a new service to success.

This role would suit an experienced Registered Manager looking to lead a brand new home, but we would also consider exceptional Deputy Managers ready to step up into their first registration where the right support and experience can be demonstrated.
