About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker (Female) to join a residential care service supporting adults with mental health conditions. This is a full‑time, day‑shift position within a warm, supportive home environment where you will play a key role in ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred care.
You will support the management team, lead shifts, mentor junior staff and contribute to creating a safe, empowering and therapeutic setting for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support staff during shifts
- Provide high‑quality, person‑centred care
- Support residents with daily living, emotional wellbeing and independence
- Administer medication (if trained) and maintain accurate records
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety and service policies are followed
- Work collaboratively with the wider care team and external professionals
- Promote a positive, respectful and supportive environment
Requirements
- Female applicants only (Genuine Occupational Requirement)
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to update)
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to work full‑time day shifts
- Able to start as soon as possible
- Compassionate, reliable and confident in a senior role
