Location: Preston, Lancashire.

Salary: £70,000-£75,000 per annum (increasing to £80,000 upon second home registration) + bonuses.

Contract: Full-time, permanent.

Homes: 2 children's EBD homes (4-bedded & 5-bedded - max 2 children per home).

Provider: Large, established provider across Lancashire.

Howard Finley Care is proud to be working alongside a large, well-established children's residential care provider operating across Lancashire to recruit an experienced Dual Registered Manager to oversee two high-quality EBD services based in Preston.

This is an outstanding opportunity offering an exceptional salary package, long-term progression, and the chance to be part of a provider committed to delivering therapeutic, child-centred care at the highest standard.

One of the homes is already open, fully staffed, and rated GOOD by Ofsted. The second home has been secured, planning permission approved, and is currently in the renovation stage, ready to progress through registration.

Both homes are designed to provide highly individualised care, with a maximum of two children per home, ensuring a calm, therapeutic environment and manageable oversight.

Salary & Bonus Structure

  • Starting salary: £70,000-£75,000
  • Salary increases to £80,000 once the second home is registered
  • Outstanding Ofsted rating: £5,000 bonus per home
  • GOOD Ofsted rating: £2,500 bonus per home
  • Excellent overall benefits package

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dual leadership and oversight across both EBD children's homes
  • Lead the registration of the second home with Ofsted
  • Ensure both services operate in full compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding legislation
  • Maintain and build upon the GOOD Ofsted rating of the established home
  • Support, develop, and lead Registered Managers / leadership teams within each service
  • Embed a therapeutic, child-centred culture focused on positive outcomes
  • Oversee Regulation 44 processes, audits, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager registered with Ofsted - essential
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare - essential
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, inspections, and compliance - essential
  • Experience managing EBD children's homes - essential
  • Confident, strategic leader with experience overseeing or scaling services - highly desirable
