We are recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join a well-established 49-bedded residential home in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and motivated individual to take on a leadership role within a supportive team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents. You will work either full-time days or full-time nights, providing guidance to care staff while ensuring residents receive safe, dignified, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and supervising Care Assistants on shift
  • Administering and recording medication in line with policy
  • Supporting residents with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Updating and reviewing care plans
  • Monitoring residents' health and wellbeing, reporting concerns appropriately
  • Conducting handovers and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Promoting independence, dignity, and respect at all times
  • Ensuring safeguarding and CQC standards are upheld
  • Supporting new staff and mentoring junior team members

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or experienced Care Assistant ready to step up
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (preferred)
  • Medication administration training
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and residential care standards
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
