We are recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join a well-established 49-bedded residential home in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and motivated individual to take on a leadership role within a supportive team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents. You will work either full-time days or full-time nights, providing guidance to care staff while ensuring residents receive safe, dignified, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and supervising Care Assistants on shift
- Administering and recording medication in line with policy
- Supporting residents with personal care and daily living tasks
- Updating and reviewing care plans
- Monitoring residents' health and wellbeing, reporting concerns appropriately
- Conducting handovers and maintaining accurate documentation
- Promoting independence, dignity, and respect at all times
- Ensuring safeguarding and CQC standards are upheld
- Supporting new staff and mentoring junior team members
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or experienced Care Assistant ready to step up
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (preferred)
- Medication administration training
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good understanding of safeguarding and residential care standards
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
