We are seeking an experienced and passionate Service Manager to lead a purpose-built 10+-bedroom residential care home in Newcastle, providing 24-hour care for individuals with physical disabilities, visual and sensory impairments, mild learning disabilities and frail elderly residents. This role also includes the management oversight of a small 2-bed supported living service, making it an exciting opportunity for a strong leader who can oversee multiple services while maintaining high-quality, person-centred care.
About the Role
- Provide strong, visible leadership across both services
- Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and company policies
- Lead, motivate and develop staff teams to deliver outstanding care
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments and person-centred support
- Manage safeguarding, incident reporting and quality assurance processes
- Maintain occupancy levels and build positive relationships with families and professionals
- Take responsibility for budgeting, resource management and financial performance
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain high service standards
About You
- Has previous experience as a Registered Manager or Service Manager within residential or supported living services
- Has experience supporting individuals with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, learning disabilities or elderly care needs
- Holds (or is working towards) NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care
- Has strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance requirements
- Is confident in managing budgets, rotas and staffing
- Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care
