Howard Finley Care is delighted to be working in partnership with an emerging children's residential care provider to recruit an experienced Registered Manager for their brand new 4‑beded children's home in Leeds. The home is not yet open; however everything is ready and in place for the right candidate to enter the home and make it their home.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Registered Manager who is passionate about developing high‑quality services and would like the chance to help shape a home from the very beginning, with clear scope for career progression as the organisation grows.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the home through the Ofsted registration process and prepare the service for opening
- Provide strong, effective leadership to support the development of a new children's residential service
- Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards, and relevant legislation
- Develop and embed robust policies, procedures, and care planning frameworks
- Work closely with the Responsible Individual and senior leadership team to establish a high‑quality, child‑centred service
- Prepare the service for inspection and maintain ongoing regulatory compliance
- Current or previous experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care - essential
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or currently working towards - essential
- Previous experience of being through an Ofsted inspection - essential
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and quality standards - essential
- Experience setting up a children's residential home is desirable but not essential
- Motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering high‑quality outcomes for children and young people
