Location: Across Two Residential Services

Salary: £14.00 - £17.00 per hour (subject to NVQ level and experience)

Service Type: Residential Care

Shift Pattern: To include days, weekends, and occasional cover as required

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to support the effective day‑to‑day running of two residential services. This is a hands‑on role combining leadership, compliance, and direct care, ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred support is delivered at all times in line with CQC standards. The Team Leader will act as a role model on shift, supporting staff development, maintaining compliance, and promoting a safe, positive environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support staff on shift across two residential services
  • Support rota coordination, shift handovers, and daily task allocation
  • Act as first point of contact for staff, residents, and visiting professionals
  • Assist with medication administration, audits, and documentation
  • Support the management team with compliance, safeguarding, and quality assurance
  • Mentor and coach Support Workers, promoting best practice
  • Maintain accurate records and report incidents appropriately
  • Promote residents' independence, dignity, and wellbeing

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
  • Experience in a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader role
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding
  • Confident in medication administration and care documentation

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working across multiple services
  • NVQ Level 4 or above in Health & Social Care
  • Experience in audits, staff supervision, or quality monitoring
