A specialist residential service in Hounslow is seeking Male Mental Health Support Workers and Team Leaders to join their dedicated team supporting adult males with forensic backgrounds, including individuals with a history of sexual offences. This role requires resilience, professionalism and a strong commitment to safeguarding and rehabilitation.
About the Role
- Supporting male residents with complex mental health needs and forensic histories
- Promoting independence, emotional wellbeing and structured daily routines
- Implementing risk management plans and safeguarding procedures
- Supporting with personal care where required
- Working collaboratively with clinical teams, social workers and external agencies
- Maintaining accurate, confidential records and reporting
- Contributing to a safe, stable and therapeutic environment
Salary Structure
- Option 1 - £14.00 to £15.50 per hour for candidates who have:
- NVQ Level 2-3 in Health & Social Care
- A full UK driving licence
- Experience in a care home setting (Nursing or Learning Disabilities)
- Option 2 - £14.50 to £17.00 per hour for candidates who have:
- NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care
- A full UK driving licence
- Experience in a mental health setting
Requirements
- Male applicants only (Genuine Occupational Requirement due to the nature of the service)
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs or forensic backgrounds
- Strong communication, de-escalation and boundary-setting skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Understanding of safeguarding and risk management
