About Us: We are a busy, well-established dental practice, committed to providing excellent patient care in a friendly and professional environment. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head Dental Nurse to join our dedicated team and help lead our clinical support staff to new heights of efficiency and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and support the dental nursing team, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice and patient care.
  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring compliance with infection control procedures.
  • Ensure all patient records are accurately updated and maintained.
  • Manage and monitor stock levels of dental materials and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
  • Support with staff training and development, ensuring compliance with continuing education requirements.
  • Ensure all clinical areas meet health and safety standards.
  • Assist with patient care and provide reassurance and comfort before, during, and after dental procedures.
  • Help manage appointment scheduling and ensure patient flow runs smoothly.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Dental Nurse with a valid GDC (General Dental Council) registration.
  • Proven experience in a dental nursing role, with a strong understanding of clinical procedures.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to take initiative.
