About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Day Carer to join our team at a friendly 45-bed residential home in Haywards Heath. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of our residents by providing high-quality, person-centred care in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Support residents with mobility and safe transfers (using appropriate equipment where required)
  • Assist with meal service and support residents with eating and drinking
  • Promote dignity, independence, and choice at all times
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Monitor residents' wellbeing and report any concerns to senior staff
  • Maintain accurate care records and documentation
  • Support residents in social activities and encourage engagement
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment

About You

  • Caring, patient, and compassionate nature
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Previous care experience is desirable but not essential (full training provided)
