Howard Finley Care are recruiting for a new Support Worker to work within our brand-new residential care home.

Support worker vacancy details:

  • £13.37 per hour
  • 40 hours per week available
  • Nights positions available
  • Working Hours for nights: 9:00 to 7:30pm

Specialises in: mental health | schizophrenia | Bi-polar disorder | personality disorder

Support worker main duties:

  • Provide person-centered support to individuals in their daily routines, helping them achieve their personal goals.
  • Assist with activities such as meal preparation, household tasks, personal care, and medication administration.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress, and any changes in service users' needs or behaviour.
  • Support individuals to access their local community and build meaningful relationships.
  • You will play a key role in understanding how individuals are feeling, building trust, and helping shape a positive and supportive environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for service users.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in support worker roles specialising in mental health is preferred but not required - will take on someone with no mental health experience as they have an excellent training programme.
  • A compassionate, patient, and positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with service users.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and occasional sleep-ins if required.
  • A valid driving license is preferred but not essential.
