We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our 30+ bedded residential care home in Coventry, specialising in high-quality dementia care. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate leader to make a real difference in the lives of our residents, their families, and our dedicated team.
About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational management of the home, ensuring the delivery of outstanding person-centred care while maintaining full compliance with CQC regulations. You will lead a motivated team, drive continuous improvement, and uphold the highest standards of safety, dignity, and well-being for residents living with dementia.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the care home, including staff management, rostering, recruitment, training, and supervision.
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards, conducting regular audits and implementing action plans to maintain or achieve a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' rating.
- Develop and review individualised care plans, promoting person-centred approaches tailored to dementia care needs.
- Manage budgets, resources, and occupancy levels effectively.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders.
- Lead on safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control procedures.
- Foster a positive, supportive culture that empowers staff and enhances resident quality of life.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Manager in a residential care setting.
- Proven track record of strong CQC compliance and positive inspection outcomes.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent/willingness to work towards).
- Excellent knowledge of dementia care best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Current DBS check and eligibility to register with CQC as Manager.
Desirable
- Experience managing a dementia-specialist service.
- Nursing qualification (RGN/RMN) is advantageous but not essential.
