Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum + performance-related bonuses

Service: Brand new 4-bedded children's residential home

Howard Finley Care is delighted to be working in partnership with a growing children's residential care provider to recruit a Registered Manager for their brand new, 4-bedded children's home in Greenwich, ahead of its opening. This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation at an early stage of development. This will be their second children's home, with their first home already established and rated GOOD by Ofsted, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality, compliance, and positive outcomes for young people.

The provider is seeking either an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up or an experienced Registered Manager looking for their next challenge, who is confident leading a service through registration and into operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the home through Ofsted registration and prepare for opening
  • Provide strong, inspirational leadership to build and develop a new staff team
  • Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards, and legislation
  • Develop and embed robust care plans, policies, and procedures
  • Work closely with senior leadership to establish a high-quality, child-centred service
  • Lead on Regulation 44 processes, audits, and continuous service improvement
Requirements
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards) - essential
  • Minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience within a children's residential home - essential
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and the inspection framework - essential
  • Good working knowledge of Regulation 44 and quality assurance processes - essential
  • Experience as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager within children's residential care - essential
  • Passionate, motivated, and confident in setting up and leading a new service
