Howard Finley Care is delighted to be working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced and passionate Registered Manager for a brand-new 3-bedded children's residential home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) in Aylesbury. This is a great opportunity to join at an early stage while the home is being renovated, giving you the chance to shape the team, culture, and service from the outset. You'll have full support from an experienced senior management team and Responsible Individual, with clear progression available into a dual Registered Manager role and additional Ofsted-related bonuses.
Key Duties:
- Lead the setup, registration, and opening of a new 3-bedded EBD service, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworks.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing staff team to deliver safe, nurturing, and child-centred care.
- Embed strong therapeutic and behavioural support practices that promote positive outcomes for young people.
- Work closely with the Responsible Individual, senior leadership team, and external professionals to ensure high standards of care and continuous improvement.
- Maintain robust quality assurance, auditing, and compliance processes in line with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to future growth plans, with the opportunity to progress into a dual-registration role.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care - essential
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential
- Proven track record of achieving good or outstanding Ofsted outcomes - desirable
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and Ofsted frameworks - essential
- Passion for developing new services and building high-quality teams - essential
