We’re looking for a maintenance planner to join our team at Hovis Forest Gate. Working closely with the maintenance and reliability teams to ensure our high-speed production lines are running safely and efficiently.

You’ll spend much of your time planning maintenance schedules and adhering to preventative maintenance triggers through our new reliability function. The maintenance planner role is an important part of the jigsaw onsite and having previous experience as a hands-on engineer is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all planned maintenance activities onsite
  • Daily maintenance management
  • Root cause analysis/action planning and analysing of reliability data
  • Weekly engineering planning meetings
  • Promoting continuous improvement within the site team to maintain standards and improving performance
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven Engineering experience & aptitude
  • Mechanical and electrical understanding and application
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline
  • Manufacturing or FMCG maintenance experience
  • Able to self-manage and prioritise own workload to satisfy commitments and meet agreed deadlines
  • Practical, proactive engineer with a strong work ethic
