To operate bakery equipment and systems effectively while working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (6am–6pm / 6pm–6am), carrying out first-line maintenance activities to achieve performance against key operational metrics.
Key Responsibilities:- SHHEQ: Take personal responsibility for all Premier Foods and legislative Health Safety requirements. Adhere to all operative and maintenance procedures, risk assessments, method statements, and SHHEQ systems.
- Production: Work effectively within a flexible, customer-focused team. Record quality and performance data using company IT systems and take ownership of performance targets. Monitor line performance and material usage, taking corrective action where required. Maintain clear communication with production teams, slicing teams, maintenance technicians, suppliers, and customers. Drive continuous improvement and actively participate in development reviews.
- Maintenance: Adjust plant equipment to maintain agreed specifications. Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime. Anticipate and resolve operational issues effectively. Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Minimum 4 GCSEs / NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent).
- Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
- Experience in a bakery or process environment preferred.
- Basic food hygiene qualification.
- Strong problem-solving skills within defined parameters.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
