Role Overview: HGV TechnicianShift Pattern: 4-on, 4-off (12-hour shifts)Salary Breakdown:Days: £43,000Split Shift (Days & Nights): £48,000Nights: £51,000Key Responsibilities (HOVIS Vehicle Services Specification)Servicing & Maintenance: Perform routine servicing, safety inspections, and preventative maintenance across the fleet (e.G., 16T DAF, 7.2T Iveco Daily, and larger distribution units).Diagnostics: Perform mechanical and electrical fault-finding using commercial diagnostic tools (e.G., Texa systems).MOT & Safety Inspections: Prepare commercial vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards for MOT testing.Ancillary Maintenance: Inspect, service, and repair tail lifts, shutter doors, and bodywork components.Compliance & Records: Ensure all vehicle defect reports, job cards, and maintenance logs meet strict road safety and DVSA compliance standards.Candidate RequirementsEssential: NVQ Level 3 (or City & Guilds / equivalent qualification) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.Preferred (Not Essential): Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) driving licence.Skills & Experience:Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities on commercial vehicles.Familiarity with DVSA inspection guidelines.Ability to work effectively on a 12-hour 4-on, 4-off rota.TPBN1_UKTJ
