Location: Home-based with travel to 3 Southeast sites; Erith, Sebon & Forest Gate

As our next Project Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in driving the successful management and delivery of projects. Your remit will be to deliver capital projects successfully and overcome any changes or challenges along the way. To excel in this role, you’ll need to be proactive, accountable, take ownership, organised, and flexible. Working with multiple stakeholders, you will be responsible for developing, specifying, and implementing on average 30 capital projects in any given year, ranging from £20,000 to £1 million in value. You’re not the type to rely on a team to deliver for you; instead, you are alone accountable for these projects being delivered. This role doesn’t involve multi-million-pound projects supported by direct reports. In this role, you will be accountable for the success of projects and may need to be flexible with working hours to ensure timely delivery.

Key requirements:

  • Project Management experience within Engineering
  • Previous experience of having worked in a bakery environment
  • Engineering qualifications
  • SAP or Microsoft Project experience
  • A high degree of computer literacy
