Our Nottingham Bakery is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to join our fantastic team. If you’re looking for a role where no two days are the same, and you enjoy working within a fast-paced and challenging environment, this is the role for you.

As our next Manufacturing Manager, you’ll display tenacity, adaptability, resilience with an ability to inspire your team. You’ll oversee end-to-end production management from raw material to final, ready-for-shelf product and be given the autonomy to drive operational excellence. You will report into the Site Manager and will have a passion for leading people. You will enjoy building strong relationships with all colleagues and peers, bringing a positive, encouraging and people-centric approach to your work.

You will lead a direct team of 12 across a wider team of circa 200 colleagues within manufacturing and will ensure operational excellence across manufacturing. You will take the lead in improving product quality, efficiency, and profitability at the site. Cross-functional collaboration will come naturally to you; you’ll work alongside your peers in the Senior Leadership Team to align and execute our Business Plan, championing change and the development of our teams.

This is an opportunity to make positive changes on-site. You will be the driving force of change and making a tangible impact at the bakery driving efficiencies and capability at site.

The Key Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing manager role within food manufacturing
  • Experience in leading teams in a unionised environment
  • Experienced in continuous improvement strategies within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in managing diverse teams and competing priorities; demonstrable people management, development and coaching skills.
