We produce bread and bakery products created with Hovis goodness at the heart of each. We deliver around 1.3 million loaves every day of the week throughout the UK and Ireland, where we also make Mothers Pride and Ormo products. We are 2,800 people working within 8 bakeries, 1 flour mill, and 2 regional distribution centres across the UK. We are now searching for a proactive and committed National Account Manager (12 month FTC) ready to play a key role in the next chapter of our journey. Please see below for more detail.
Location: Belfast
Shifts: 3 days in office, 2 at home (flexible)
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Delivery: Ensure delivery of the company financial targets for blue chip supermarkets with a focus on turnover, profit and cash. Use sales levers to improve volume & profit for the business. Manage promotional and investment spend within agreed budgets and ensure appropriate returns are made.
- Customer Relationships: Build strong multifunctional relationships within customers to ensure understanding and buy-in to the Hovis strategy at senior level. Ensure the customers' plans and strategy are understood widely internally such that these can be incorporated into future planning. Build strong cross-functional awareness understanding the profit drivers in other functions and act accordingly.
- Business Process: Ensure risks and opportunities to the plan are accurately understood and that suitable plans are constructed to mitigate/deliver these. Ensure that all Business Plans and commercial decisions have been agreed and signed off according to the business governance process. Take responsibility for maintaining a clean ledger and ensure customers are paying to terms and actions are in place to bring in line as required.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 2 - 3 years experience in senior sales role
- Commercial acumen & analytical - Excel / PowerPoint / Google
- Ability to build relationships internally and externally
- Strong prioritisation and organisational skills
- Competitive with a strong desire to win through innovative thinking and urgent execution
- Prepared to take personal responsibility for decisions and actions
