About The Role & Who We’re Scouting
We’re on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Analyst to join our squad at Leicester City Football Club and play a key role in developing, implementing, and delivering on the Performance Analysis department\’s KPI\’s, ensuring these are aligned with the LCFC Academy Performance Plan.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Work in collaboration with all departments to build a leading-edge organisation, where everything is possible, by adhering to the Academy Performance Plan.
- Develop and ensure the work of the analysis team is in alignment to the department’s Key Performance Indicators.
- Influence, support and educate key stakeholders in the role of performance analysis in player development.
- Be custodians of the academy and club culture, living and displaying our Academy values and role modelling these behaviours to the young people that we work with.
- Contribute to the CPD of all performance support staff.
- Contribute to the department’s research strategy.
- In collaboration with the Head of Performance Support, define and implement the performance analysis team’s key performance indicators and services.
- Create strategic direction and specific (measurable) action plans for the continual development of the department based on biannual department reviews and EPPP audits to support the Academy Performance Plan.
- Empower and develop the performance analysis team by managing, mentoring, and inspiring each individual.
- In collaboration with Head of Performance Support, monitor performance analysis budget (Cap-Ex and Op-Ex) and procurement of resources.
- Manage the performance analysis MSc placement program.
- Define how performance analysis contributes to first team ready football players.
- Gather and analyse data to develop insight into player development.
- Develop ways of presenting data in a manner that it informs and is understood by key stakeholders.
- Assist in the release/retention process by providing video and data insights to the multi-disciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will need to meet certain criteria in relation to qualifications and have significant previous experience working in elite level sport environments:
Essential:
- Master’s degree of equivalent in Performance Analysis.
- Experience in working within a High-Performance environment.
- Experience and skills in data visualization through products such as Power BI, Tableau, Python.
- Flexibility in working hours with availability to work evening and weekends where required.
- Good Communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Work within a team environment, co-operate with others, consider the needs of others and helps others to achieve objectives.
- Ability to work autonomously on own initiative, pro-active in managing one’s own time, building an understanding of the internal and external environment in order to deliver work in a highly effective and professional manner.
- Resilience and the ability to maintain professionalism and a calm demeanor at all times.
- Excellent IT skills (including excellent MS Office – word, excel, PowerPoint).
- Able to work to tight deadlines in a flexible working timetable (evenings/weekends) as well as travel nationally and internationally as/when required (including overnight).
Desirable:
- Proven experience managing a team of performance analysts.
- FA/UEFA Coaching licenses.
- Talent Identification qualifications.
- Management/Leadership Qualifications.
