Houston & Hawkes are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant to join our team at our corporate site in Newbury. This role plays an important part in supporting the kitchen team and ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of the kitchen environment.
Duties
- Supporting chefs with basic food preparation when required
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen, equipment and work areas
- Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Assisting with deliveries and stock organisation
- Ensuring all hygiene and food safety standards are followed
Requirements
- Previous kitchen porter or kitchen assistant experience preferred
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen
- Good teamwork and communication skills
